Snjall has a good breeding line, and even though he did not attract much attention when growing up, we believed in him, and he proved it even more when we started training him. Þórður Þorgeirsson started training him when he was 3 ½ years old. When he turned 4 years old, Bára Másdóttir took him to Hafnarfjörður and trained him there for another two months. After this, he had a break until his owner, Björn, took him in for further training in the spring of 2002. Snjall then was sent to the renowned rider Sigurður Óli Kristinsson, who trained him for about three weeks and then showed him at the qualifications for the Landsmót. Snjall received a good result only 5 years old: 8,03 for conformation, 8,19 for rideability, and a total score of 8,13. Thereby qualifying for Landsmót the same year. At Landsmót then, Snjall improved his scores for rideability: 8,33, which made the total score of 8,21.
The year 2005, Snjall was sold to the known rider Sigurbjörn Bárðarson. At Landsmót in 2006, Snjall was shown by his new owner, and there he got 8.18 for conformation, 8.40 for rideability, and 8.31 as an overall score.
Snjall was sold to Denmark, where he’s done very well in competitions.
