Segull frá Hátúni is a son by Snillingur frá Vorsabæ 2 who is a son by Forseti. The farmer at Hátún had Snillingur to cover his mares during the summer of 2002. The year after, we took a trip to Hátún to see the offspring of Snillingur. Because there were so many good ones, we ended up buying three instead of one. After we had brought them home to Vorsabær II, we took a closer look at them. We were especially fond of Segull, who danced around in beautiful tölt with high movements, and the decision was made to keep him as a stallion because of his great movements and rare and beautiful color.

We started training Segull in the winter of 2007. At that time, a Danish girl, Nanna Sövsö Mikkelsen, was working for us and did most of the training with Segull.

When Segull turned 5 years old, he was in training by Brynjar Stefansson.

In the summer of 2009, Gunnar Ásgeirsson trained Segull.

In the winter of 2010, a Swedish girl, Elin Vidberg, worked for us. She was fascinated by him and ended up buying him in the spring. In the summer, she competed with him in both 4-gait and Tölt in Sweden and got good results. They won the championship in the Dales in 4-gait and Tölt.
