This 1-hour small-group horseback riding tour takes place at our Icelandic horse breeding farm in South Iceland. After meeting your guide in the riding hall, riders are matched with suitable horses and introduced to fundamental riding techniques before heading outdoors together.
The route follows open farmland and natural terrain near the farm, with views across the landscape between Selfoss and Flúðir. Icelandic horses are known for their steady temperament and smooth Tölt gait, making the experience accessible even for first-time riders.
Tour Description
The small-group tour offers a relaxed introduction to riding Icelandic horses in South Iceland. With a limited group size, riders receive personal guidance while sharing the experience with others who may also be new to horseback riding.
Beginners receive clear instruction in the riding hall before setting out, while returning riders can enjoy a steady rhythm suited to the group’s overall ability. The countryside surrounding the farm provides open views and gentle terrain that reflect daily life at a working breeding farm rather than a high-volume riding operation.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time.

Why Ride at Vorsabær II
Vorsabær II is a working Icelandic horse breeding farm in South Iceland, not a high-volume riding stable. Horses are bred, raised, and trained on the farm, and riding experiences take place alongside daily farm life rather than in a commercial riding center.
